Carmarthen is a historic town with a castle. There are guided tours of the historic town centre every Wednesday at 11:00, led by Carmarthen town guides. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is only 10 minutes’ drive away. Also in the area are: Gwily Steam Railway, Carmarthenshire County Museum, Gelli Aur Country Park, and many more sights.

By Car: - Take the M4. - Exit at junction 49. - Join the A48 dual carriageway. - At the roundabout on the outskirts of Carmarthen, go straight over. - At the next roundabout, turn right. - Continue straight over the next 2 roundabouts, following the brown signs for Spilman Street Hotels. - Keep to the left lane through the traffic lights and the hotel is on your left. From A40/A484/A485 travelling West: - Follow signs for Carmarthen along the dual carriageway by-pass. - Then follow signs towards the town centre. - Keep to the middle lane over the bridge through traffic lights. - The hotel is up the hill on your left.
